The centre and gateway to the Argentinian Lake District, Bariloche is the starting and ending point of this stage. The route takes narrow gravel tracks past river headwaters to the Pacific Coast of Chile. After the stunningly beautiful Lake Districts in Chile and Argentina, the expedition continues past volcanoes and glacial lakes, and finally back to Bariloche.

Separate arrival, evening meal together and hotel accommodation iin Bariloche.

?Route for the day: Bariloche – Los Alerces National Park. ?After familiarisation with the vehicles, drive South through the Argentinian Lake District and the foothills of the Andes to the Los Alerces National Park. Overnight camp in the park.
