After driving through the enormous sand dunes in thei national park, the road continues on to the historical city of São Luís. Evening meal together and hotel accommodation.

Very early morning start. Ferry trip across the Bahía de Sao Marcos. Onward journey through sparsely populated regions to the state of Pará as far as Belem in the Amazon Lowlands. Overnight accommodation in hotel.

Group sightseeing tour of the city. Afternoon free. Closing supper together. Overnight accommodation in hotel.
