Route for the day: El Calafate – El Chaltén. Drive along the shore of Lago Argentino back to Routa 40, past the foothills of the Los Glaciares National Park. This section follows the shore of Lake Viedma and the majestic Fitz Roy Massif can be made out in the distance. Drive on gravel tracks to El Chaltén. Evening meal together and overnight accommodation at a hostel in El Chaltén.

Route for the day: El Chaltén – Puerto San Julián. Long driving day through the Patagonian steppe to the Atlantic Coast. Overnight accommodation in the town where famous explorers Magellán, Viedma and Darwin also put in. Evening meal together and hotel accommodation in Puerto San Julián.

Route for the day: Puerto San Julián – Pampa de las 3 Hermanas. Drive on gravel tracks through the Santa Cruz region. Visit the petrified forest "Bosques Petrificados". Overnight camping on the steppe.

Route for the day: Pampa de las 3 Hermanas – Camarones?. Drive on major connector road through Patagonia – Routa 3 – to the Gulf of Saint George. Continue along the Atlantic Coast. Camping beside the sea.
