Route for the day: Ushuaia – Tierra del Fuego Chile. After familiarisation with the vehicles, drive through Tierra del Fuego beside the Beagle Channel. The road continues beside Lake Fagnano as far as Sierra de Carmen. Border crossing from Argentina into Chile. Overnight camping in Tierra del Fuego.

Route for the day: Tierre del Fuego – Torres del Paine National Park. Cross the Straits of Magellan. Drive on gravel tracks through southern Chile, past the former fishing port of Puerto Natales, into the famed Torres del Paine National Park with its spectacular granite columns, some of which are over 2,000 metres high. Camping overnight in the national park.

Route for the day: Torres del Paine National Park – El Calafate?. Onward journey through the national park. Border formalities, leave Chile enter into Argentina. Then drive North on Routa 40. Overnight accommodation in the hostel in El Calafate.
