Route for the day: Torres del Paine National Park – El Calafate?
Continue journey through the national park. Border formalities, leave Chile enter into Argentina. Drive North on "Routa 40" to the famed "Perito Moreno" glacier, the "King of Glaciers" in the Los Glaciares National Park. Overnight accommodation in "El Calafate".

Route for the day: El Calafate – Capo Virgens
?Drive through Southern Patgonia to "Río Gallegos". Onward journey on gravel roads to "Capo Virgenes" at the entry to the Strait of Magellan, which is also home to the second largest colony of Magellan penguins in Argentina. Penguin watching and campsite accommodation at the Cape.

Route for the day: Capo Virgens – Rio Grande. Cross the border from Argentina to Chile and take the ferry across the Strait of Magellan. Drive through the hilly steppe country to the Chile-Argentina border. Cross the border again and drive to Río Grande. Evening meal together and hotel accommodation.
