Route for the day: Estancia Tepi – Porvenir?. Drive through Tierra del Fuego, past the Marina Ranch. Cross the border from Argentina into Chile and traverse the Bellavista Pass, which is only open to 4×4 vehicles. Exhilarating river fording on the road to Lago Blanco. Overnight at a hotel in Povenir.

Route for the day: Porvenir – Torres del Paine National Park. Long driving day, initially on tracks beside the Strait of Magellan. Cross the Strait of Magellan at "Punta Delgada", past the former fishing port of Puerto Natales. Onward journey on gravel roads to the Milodon Caves. Short sightseeing stop, then the drive continues to the famous Torres del Paine National Park. Overnight camp in the park.

Day trip to the Torres del Paine National Park?
Option 1: Hike to the stupendous, 2,000 metre high "Torres del Paine" granite columns, the symbol of the park. Option 2: Short hike and visit the Grey Lake, famouse for its floating, blue-tinted icebergs, and offering views of the Grey Glacier.
