Route for the day: Puerto Bermudez – Chavín de Huántar?. Long driving day up into the Andean Highlands, to the fabulously beautiful mountain landscapes of the Cordillera Blanca, after the Himalayas the highest mountain range in the world. Evening meal together and hotel accommodation.

Route for the day: Chavín de Huántar – Outskirts of Caraz? Drive to the Chavín de Huántar ruins, the only remaining site of the Chavín culture. Onward journey through the Conchuco Valley on an eastern reach of the Cordillera Blanca. Through pretty Andean villages with views of mountains that rise to well over 6,000 m. Overnight camp with a view of the breathtaking 6000 metre peaks.

Route for the day: Outskirts of Caraz – Lunahuaná. Long driving day over the Cordillera Negra and down to the Peruvian Pacific Coast. Drive South on the famous Panamericana as far as the village of Lunahuaná, which is renowned for its bodegas (wine cellars). Overnight stay in a hostel.

Route for the day: Lunahuaná – Nazca?. Drive through the valley of the Cañete River, back to the Panamericana. Short detour to the desert oasis Huacachina, which is surrounded by enormous sand dunes, as far as the San José Pampas, which is famous for the mysterious symbols in the earth, the world-famous Nazca lines. Overnight camp close to Nazca.
