Puyehue National Park – Pucon?. Drive through the Chilean Lake District, past volcanoes Lanin and Villarica, and through the former Mapuche territory. Evening meal together, new year celebration and hotel accommodation in Pucón.

Day free. Suggested activities: climb the active volcano Villarica, take a rafting tour, or visit one of the many hot spring baths. Overnight at a hotel in Pucón.

Route for the day: Pucon – Junin de los Andes. Drive through the Huequehue National Park on dirt tracks and lava. Continue through the marvellous mountain landscape of the Andes foothills. Cross the border from Chile into Argentina and drive through the Argentinian Lake District. Evening meal together and hotel accommodation.
